Express Yourself Through the ArtsSaturday, May 14, 2011I had the pleasure of participating as an instructor for the Methodist Hospital’s and Joslyn Art Museum’s “Express Yourself Through the Arts” program, a series of free hands-on art workshops intended to help ease the pain and stress for patients and families experiencing serious illness. It was a privilege to teach this class of courageous people.

Proceeds from the event will help to fund the new Life Renewal Center at The Nebraska Medical Center’s Cancer Center at Village Pointe in Omaha.

Joslyn Art Museum Summer 2009 Daily Painting ClassesSunday, May 10, 2009Each Tuesday from July 14 through August 18, 2009, I will be teaching a “daily painting” class at the Joslyn Art Museum here in Omaha. The classes will cover a variety of approaches to completing a small daily work in oil as well as advice regarding marketing work online Weather permitting, the class will visit the Joslyn’s sculpture garden to experience painting in plein air.
Workshop for Omaha Artists, March 10, 2009Tuesday, March 10, 2009A group of local Omaha artists has engaged me to conduct an oil painting workshop entitled “Trying New Things” on Tuesday, March 10, 2009. The focus of the workshop is to try new techniques, in particular, tonal underpainting using the wipe-off method and palette knife techniques.
