Corning, Iowa En Plein Air Event
Friday, July 27, 2007
On July 27 and 28, 2007, I participated in the En Plein Air painting event in Corning, Iowa, sponsored by the Corning Center for the Fine Arts. This was the second annual event, and it attracted twice as many artists as last year. There was a great deal of talent and a great deal of fun painting out-of-doors while the townspeople and visitors observed. I was fortunate enough to meet a number of talented artists and to have my piece entitled “House on 9th” win second prize. This piece, which is pictured on this web site under Landscapes/Cityscapes, will be displayed at the Corning Center for the Arts through September and is available for purchase through the Center.
